I'm Rebecca Jacobson. I'm a writer, editor, onetime theater critic, and cyclist. I currently live in Missoula, where I'm pursuing my MFA in creative nonfiction at the University of Montana.
I've worked as an editor at Portland Monthly, Exberliner, and Willamette Week, covering (among other things) the arts, feminism, bikes, and idiosyncratic internet projects. My WW story “80 Million Paige Views,” about a ghost-obsessed YouTube star in rural Oregon, was named best arts feature at the 2015 AltWeekly Awards.
I grew up in Portland, Oregon, studied history at Brown University, and have also lived in Malawi and Berlin.
I'm available for freelance work. Hit the button below, and let's talk.
